Adil Iskenderov was born May 10, 1910 in Elizavetpole (now Ganja, Azerbaijan) in the Beck family. Participated in the drama club of the Working Club in Ganja. In 1931 he graduated from the Baku Theater College (now the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts). In his student years he staged plays and played them. In 1936 he graduated from GITIS them. A.V. Lunacharsky. In 1932-1936 - the director-trainee Theater. E.B. Vakhtangova (Moscow). He worked as a director at the film studio "Azerbaijanfilm", in 1966-1974 - director of the film studio. Since 1937, he taught at the Baku Theater School (since 1945 - Azerbaijan Theater Institute named after M.Aliyev) (since 1956, Professor). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1940. Member of the Armed Forces of the AzSSR 4-5 convocations. Adil Iskenderov died on September 18, 1978 in Baku. He was buried in the Alley of Honor in Baku.
