Daniel Jason Sudeikis (born September 18, 1975) is an American actor, comedian and screenwriter. In the 1990s, he began his career in improv comedy. Sudeikis performed at ComedySportz in Kansas City and with The Second City. In 2003, he was hired as a sketch writer for Saturday Night Live and was a cast member from 2005 to 2013. He appeared on the television shows 30 Rock, The Cleveland Show, Eastbound & Down, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Last Man on Earth, and other television shows. Sudeikis is known for his roles in the films Horrible Bosses (2011) and its sequel, Horrible Bosses 2 (2014), as well as other films such as Hall Pass (2011), We're the Millers (2013), Colossal (2016), The Angry Birds Movie (2016), and Mother's Day (2016). Daniel Jason Sudeikis was born on September 18, 1975 in Fairfax, Virginia to Daniel Joseph Sudeikis, a Vice President of business development, and, Kathryn (née Wendt), a travel agent at Brennco and President of the American Society of Travel Agents. His father is of Irish and Lithuanian ancestry, while his mother has German and Irish descent. His maternal uncle is actor George Wendt, known for his role as Norm Peterson on Cheers, and his maternal great-grandfather was photographer Tom Howard. He has two sisters, Lindsay and Kristen. As a child, he moved with his family to Overland Park, Kansas, which he has described as his hometown. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School. Sudeikis was born with anosmia, leaving him with virtually no sense of taste or smell. In June 2004, he married American screenwriter Kay Cannon after five years together. They separated in 2008 and divorced in March 2010. In 2011, Sudeikis and American actress Olivia Wilde began dating. They became engaged in January 2013. They have a son, Otis Alexander Sudeikis (born April 20, 2014), and a daughter, Daisy Josephine Sudeikis (born October 11, 2016). He played on basketball teams at the 2011 and 2016 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
