His mother Caroline worked as a schoolteacher, and Father Willard Carroll Smith Sr. - an engineer (died in 2016). His parents divorced when Will was 13 years old, but did not officially divorce until 2000. Will himself with his first wife Shiri Zampino (now Shiri Fletcher) divorced in 1995, having lived with her for three years. His son Willard Christopher Smith stayed with his mother, but often sees his father. Two years later, on December 31, 1997, Smith married his longtime friend Jade Pinkett. From Jada, Smith had two children: the son of Jayden Smith (July 8, 1998) and the daughter of Willow Smith (October 31, 2000).
