Biography
Philip Alexandrovich Rukavishnikov (born June 20, 1974) is a Russian sculptor, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Born in Moscow in the family of the national artist of Russia Alexander Rukavishnikov. His great-grandfather Mitrofan Rukavishnikov, a descendant of famous Nizhny Novgorod merchants, was a diploma student at the Roman Academy of Arts, and his grandfather Iulian Mitrofanovich was also a sculptor. In 1983, Philip Rukavishnikov gained fame by playing the role of Michael Banks in the film “Mary Poppins, Goodbye”, later he led Television had its own program “Prism”, but did not feel attracted to acting, although his mother was a ballerina, Philip's true calling was sculpture and painting.
