Plinio Fernando was born on September 15, 1947 in Tunis, French Protectorate of Tunisia. For years played the part of 'Mariangela', Fantozzi's daughter in the popular Italian Fantozzi series, with Paolo Villaggio. The part required that Fantozzi's baby daughter was so ugly that only a man could portray her. The name 'Mariangela' (that was a quite common name for a woman) was popular during the 70s, 80s and partly the 90s, in Italy, to indicate a girl who was not exactly a beauty.
