Biography

Michel Corriveau is Canadian film composer and musician. He was born in 1962 in Grand-Mère, Québec. he learned piano at a very young age and started to compose small pieces when he was eleven. After moving to Montréal, he took up guitar and drums and formed a bonafide garage band.In the 1980s, his passion became his profession. He then returned to composition and wrote hundreds of advertising jingles. Since then, Michel has worked on more than 40 productions for the small and big screens, exploring a plethora of worlds and atmospheres. In 2008, between work on two films, he obtained a Master’s degree from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Today Michel, who first spawned an interest in soundtracks “listening” to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, devotes himself wholly to his youthful passion for film music. In 2018 he intends to open a second production studio with his son, also a composer.
