Kuzma Bodrov

Kuzma Bodrov was born in Osh (Kyrgyzstan) in 1980. In 2005 graduated Moscow Conservatory, in 2008 – postgraduate studies the Moscow Conservatory in class of composition, Professor A.V. Tchaikovsky. He teaches at the Moscow Conservatory, polyphony, musical form, harmony, instrumentation and reading scores. Currently an assistant of A.V. Tchaikovsky, organizer and co-chairman of Club of the young composers of Moscow Conservatory, a member of Laboratory of director and artist Dmitry Krymov. He is a professor of the Higher Courses of script writers and directors in Moscow. Since 2012 guest professor at Katarina Gursky Higher School of Music in Madrid. He is the winner of series of national and international competitions. Music by K. Bodrov sounds in Russia, Europe and America. The composer has collaborated with well-known musicians, including conductors Yuri Bashmet, Yuri Simonov, Boris Tevlin, V. Ziva, S. Stadler, A. Sladkovsky, Soloviev, I. Dronov V. Uryupin, B. Quintas, A . Titov, soloists Berezovsky, M. Bayo, N.Borisoglebsky, Mechetin E., S. Antonov, A. Trostyansky, V. Cholodenko, K. Volostnov, E. Revich. He is a “Person of the Year” in the ranking of the newspaper “Musical Review” in the “New Generation–musician of the Year” (2011). In movie he is better known as a composer of Sobibor (2018) – historical film based on real events of WWII.
