Anna Tchernakova

Anna Tchernakova was born in 1968 in Sankt-Petersburg (former Leningrad, USSR). She is known as Russian screenwriter, director and producer. Graduated from All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (department of film directing ). Due to her frequent overseas projects has no fixed residence, most frequently stays in Russia, UK and Canada. She is the winner of Gran-prix award of Minsk Film Festival (1994) for her movie “Cherry garden”. Film received wide acclaim. Tchernakova is better know for her work in: Foggy season (2009), Canine heaven (2014). She acted as co-author of screenplay for Sobibor in 2018.
