Vagif Asadullayev was born in 1947 in Baku. After finishing secondary school he entered the Baku Finance and Credit Technical School. After graduating from the technical school, he entered the Department of Economics of the VGIK,. In March 1969, he worked as a lighter for the Azerbaijanfilm studio. Since September 1969 he has worked as an assistant director. In 1969-1976 worked as assistant director in films of Eldar Guliyev, Rasim Ojagov, Yalchin Afandiyev. In 1976-1989 he worked in the State Cinema Committee in Moscow. In 2002-2004 he worked as General Director at "Servan" film studio in Baku. In 2005, he founded A.S.V.A Profi the 12th century film studio and worked here as General Director until 2009.
