Biography

Juli Fogelman was born on January 12, 1905. From 1927 he began working in the cinema as an assistant and assistant cameraman at the Kulturfilm and Mezhrabpomfilm film factories. In 1931 he shot his first independent film “On the Ice to the Ocean”. He worked together with the director I. Savchenko - the films “Harmony” (1934, together with E. Schneider), “A chance meeting” (1936), “A thought about the Cossack Golota” (1937). In 1938-1947 - the operator of the studio “Soyuzdetfilm”, made films: “The Struggle Continues” (1939), “The Death of the Eagle” (1940), “The Fifteen Year Captain” (1946) and others. From 1947 he worked at the Mosnauchfilm Studio (now - "Centrnauchfilm"). Filmed at the studio "Belarusfilm" - "Nesterka" (1955), "Red Leaves" (1958); at the Riga Studio - After the Storm (1956).
