Biography

Mamedrza Sheikhzamanov was born on August 4, 1915 in the city of Elizavetpol (Ganja). From 1934 to 1936 he studied at the studio of the Kirovobad Drama Theater. From 1936 to 1954, he performed on the stage of the Kirovobad Drama Theater named after Jafar Jabbarli. From 1954 to 1984 he played on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Dramatic Theater named after Meshadi Azizbekov. His best roles were Kajar, Khosrov (Vagif, Farhad and Shirin of Samad Vurgun), Imamyar, Aydin (Yashar, Aydin Jafar Jabbarly), Nabi (Gachag Nabi by Suleiman Rustam), Shakhbazov physician "of Islam Safarli), Edgar (" Antony and Cleopatra "by William Shakespeare), Haji Hasan (" Dead Man "Jalil Mammadguluzade), watchmaker (Nikolai Pogodin's Kremlin chimes), Ikhtiyar (Iblis Huseyn Javid) and others. Mamedrza Sheikhzamanov also played in the movies (Bakhtiyar, Under the Sultry Sun, The Mystery of a Fortress, Nasimi, The Sound of a Pipe, I Remember You, a Teacher, The Golden Chasm, and others).
