Biography
Arya Aziminejad was born in an artistic family in 1973. He learned the “Se-Tar” (Iranian Instrument) from his grandfather and then took his chance to learn from great masters of Iranian music like “Jalal Zolfonoon“, “Mahmood Tajbakhsh” and “Ali Asqar Zand Vakil”. in 1993 he was accepted in Azad University to study music and studied the music with masters like “Farhad Fakhreddini” and “Mustafa Kamal Poortorab”.

In his second year at university he started his career as a composer by making music for theatres. Soon he became a nominee to win the best music award in international theatre festivals.These achievements paved his way to cinema and television and led him to make some remarkable compositions.

Making music for films like “M for Mother” in cinema, and “He was an angle” for television made him one of the top composers in Iran. He was nominated for the best film score of international Fajr Festival,and the award of Cinema House for films like “M for Mother”, “Gold and Copper” and ” The Child of Soil”.

In 2004 he won the second best award of International folk music by playing solo “Se-Tar” in the Langollen International Musical Festival in Britain.

His collaboration with “Jocelyn Pook“, the famous British composer, led him to cooperate in several film score projects including “Brick Lane“.

He has also composed music for many Iranian famous singers.

His interest in Iranian folk music made him to make a collection of Iranian ethnic music and use them in his own compositions.
