Eric Sommers began his career as a production staff on Stark Wildly Deranged.

While working as a screenwriter on American Dad!, he met Chris McKenna, who became his writing partner. Together they have since written screenplays for The Lego Batman Movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequel, Far From Home, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
