Sol Bondy was born in 1979 and grew up in London, Spain and Berlin. He studied Literature and Spanish for two years. Later he studied film production at the German film school dffb Berlin. His short films traveled all around the world, winning many prestigious prizes and awards, such as the German Camera Award or the LOLA - the German Short Film Prize in Gold. He graduated with "Reported Missing" by Jan Speckenbach, a full-length feature, which premiered at the Berlinale 2012 and was nominated at the 2012 European Film Awards for "Best European Discovery". In 2010 he founded his own production company One Two Films with the producer Jamila Wenske and the investor Christoph Lange. Within the first three years, One Two Films has produced four feature films, amongst them the international co-productions "Youth", which premiered at the 2013 Berlinale, and was sold to several territories, as well as "I am Here", a co-production with Zentropa starring Kim Basinger. Bondy was recently recognized as one of the 30 "Future Leaders" by Screen International for their Cannes 2013 monthly issue and is a TAP alumni.
