Rafig Azimov was born on February 6, 1938 in Baku. On September 10, 1962 Rafig Azimov was admitted to troupe of the Azerbaijani Academic National Drama theater. It constantly worked at the stage of this theater. In 2013 on the Azerbaijani television the film "Love to Art" devoted to life and Rafiga Azimov's creativity was shot.
