Rasim Ismayilov (July 13, 1936, Baku - May 5, 2004) the Azerbaijani, Soviet film director, the operator, the screenwriter, the writer. Honored worker of arts of the Azerbaijani SSR (1976). Winner of the State award of the Azerbaijani SSR (1978). Graduate of operator faculty of the VGIK of 1963. I studied under the leadership of B.I. Volchek. After the termination of the VGIK in Moscow Rasim Ismaylov worked 16 years at Azerbaydzhanfilm studio as the cameraman and shot films practically with all famous Azerbaijani directors. The author of fairy tales for children, books "Conversations about Cinema". Its "The flying plane trees" - the first, posthumous edition. Now at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the country the book "Rasim Ismaylov prepares. Diaries of the lost time". In the last years of life Rasim Ismaylov worked at department of direction of the University of culture and art, fruitfully worked in a pedagogical field. He conducted a workshop of operators and directors at the University. The spouse is a journalist, the screenwriter and the TV host Nadezhda Ismaylova, the daughter Jamila. Brothers Rafis Ismaylov, national artist of Azerbaijan, Rice Ismaylov, Azerbaijani TV director and director of documentaries.
