Daniel Kalparsoro Lopez-Tapia (born in Barcelona, May 11, 1968) is a Spanish film director.

After his birth a few months later, their family moved to San Sebastian. He studied political science in Madrid, and cinematography in New York.

Acquired in Spain as the director of the film Leap into Emptiness (1995), starring with his ex-wife Najva Nimri, who starred in 5 of his films.
