Angus Sampson was born on 1978 or 1979 in Sydney, Australia, and was educated at The Armidale School in northern New South Wales. He graduated from the AWARD School in 2002. He had a supporting role in the Insidious film series, the comedy crime drama film The Mule (2014), the comedy film Now Add Honey (2015), the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), and the supernatural horror film Winchester (2018).
