Namis Shirmammadov – is an Azerbaijani stage and movie actor and director. He is better known for At ilinin birinci ayı (First month of the year of horse , 1993), Fəryad (Scream,  1993), Qaçaq Süleyman (Outlaw Suleyman, 1994), Seçilən (The Selected One, 2008), ‎Cavad xan (film, 2009), Dolu (Dolu, 2012), Tək olanda qorxma... (Don’t be afraid, when you’re alone , TV series, 2013) Həyat, sən nə qəribəsən (TV series, 2013), Fədakar ( Brave,  2015). He is currently actor of Sumgait State Drama Theatre. Namis Shirmammadov was born April 3, 1962. He studied acting through 1979-1983 at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Has been actor of Sumgait State Drama Theatre since 1983. He also played many roles on the stage of Academic National Drama Theatre since 1997. He played  Heydar Aliyev in A.Babayev’s political–biographic film “Xilaskar” (Savior).
