Biography
Born in the family of an ophthalmic surgeon. From 1974-1977 he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since 1979 - a member of the troupe "Old Vic", and since 1980 - the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In 2013 he was a jury member of the BIFA Award for Best British Independent Film.
The actor played in such films as "Diana: A Love Story", "True Lies", "Sparks from the Eyes", "Journey to India". He also appeared in the TV movie "Agatha Christie's Poirot", where he played a friend of Martin Shaw's character, the series "Homeland", "Sherlock", "Borgia".
