Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Shumsky - Soviet cameraman. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1982). Laureate of Lenin (1980) and three State Prizes of the USSR (1970, 1975, 1985). M. Shumsky was born on December 17, 1921. In 1948 he graduated from VGIK. He worked at the M. Gorky Central Children's Art School. His works are characterized by in-depth attention to the inner world of man, lyricism, poetry. Since 1976 he was the secretary of the board of the USSR Investigative Committee. Wife - actress L. A. Shagalova (1923-2012). Died January 23, 2011. He was buried in Moscow at the Perepechinsky cemetery.
