Drake Bell was born on June 27, 1986 in Newport Beach, California. His parents are Robin Dodson, a professional billiards player, and Joe Bell. He has English, Scottish, and Swedish ancestry. He has three brothers, Robert, Joey, and Travis, and one sister, Kellie. His parents divorced when he was five years old. While growing up in Orange County, Bell skateboarded a lot and regularly attended punk rock shows, which he cites as an influence.
