Gabe Torres is an American director and screenwriter. Born in Aurora, New York, on Cayuga Lake about 45 minutes north of Ithaca. Graduated from Southern Cayuga High School in Aurora, New York, class of 1980. Is the son of Cuban immigrants. An avid and accomplished photographer, Torres has been compiling a book of the portraits he's done of up and coming actors and crew in the film world. While working as a security guard at Universal Studios, he left his first screenplay in numerous executive offices in the MCA Tower, resulting in a meeting and signing with his first agent. Gabe joined the Director's Guild of America in 1999 and has remained active in the guild, serving as co-chair of the DGA Latino Committee.
