Lauren Cohan

Lauren Cohan (born January 7, 1982) is an American actress and model. She is known for her role as Maggie Greene on the horror drama series The Walking Dead. She is also known for her roles as Bela Talbot on the fantasy horror series Supernatural (2007–2008), Rose on the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries (2010–2012), and Vivian McArthur Volkoff on the action comedy series Chuck (2011). In addition to her television career, Cohan has also appeared in several films, such as the comedy Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj (2006), the psychological thriller horror film The Boy, the superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and the biographical drama All Eyez on Me (2017). Cohan was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey (although some sources incorrectly cite Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as her birthplace) on January 7, 1982, the daughter of an American father and a Scottish mother. She also has Irish and Norwegian ancestry. During her childhood, Cohan lived in Cherry Hill (and, for one year, Georgia) before moving to England at age 13. When Cohan's mother remarried, she took her new husband's surname, Cohan, and converted to Judaism. Cohan was also converted to Judaism at age five and had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. She has four younger siblings and one step-sister. Cohan graduated from the University of Winchesterwith a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama and English literature before touring with a theatre company she had co-founded at the university. Cohan then split her time and work between London and Los Angeles, working on several films as well as some non-commercial projects.
