Oleg Kompasov was born on September 18, 1966 in the city of Elektrostal, Moscow Region. In 1994 he graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute with a degree in design of the architectural environment. Since 1994 he has been working in advertising. In 2003 he made his feature film debut. He is married, has two children.
