Tapi Chanakya (1925–1973) was an Indian film director and writer. He is son of the famous writer Tapi Dharma Rao Naidu. He has worked as Radio Telegraphist for the Indian Army. He directed films: Anta Manavaalle (1954), Rojulu Marayi (1955), Kaalam Maari Pochu (1956), Peddarikalu (1957), Ettuku Paiettu (1958), Bhagya Devatha / Bhagya Devathai (1959), Jalsa Rayudu (1960), Kumkuma Rekha (1960), Pudhiya Pathai (1960), Adugu Jaadalu (1966), Naan Aanaiyittal (1966),  Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Janwar Aur Insaan (1972), Manavata (1972).
