Chris Kentis is known for directing such films as Open Water, Silent House and Grind. He has been married to cinematographer and producer, Laura Lau since 1997. He and his wife Laura Lau managed to escape from the Thai resort island of Phuket, where they were vacationing when the tsunamis hit Christmas weekend, 2004. His daughter Sabrina was born in 1997. Survived the tsunami in Asia, along with his wife and child.
