The film takes place on the shores of the Aegean in the early 90s. The glorious days of Arifoglu, one of the most influential families in the region, are long gone. Almost all the land was sold, and the family was left with only a factory that made olive oil from that huge property. The head of the family, 85-year-old Arif Bey, has not been involved in household chores for many years. Her son Azmi tries to reconcile with his ex-wife Nevin. Their son, Kamal, loves to get rich easily, and he betrays his wife with another woman. The youngest member of the family, Arif Ege, is in transition and suffers from the "sufferings" of first love.
