A brand new Avengers: Endgame trailer has been released by Marvel Studios. The studio is nearing the release of the 22nd entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe right after Captain Marvel hits theaters. The conclusion of Phase 3 of the MCU is set to pick up the pieces of the devastating ending of Avengers: Infinity War, where Thanos snapped half of the universe out of existence.
Marvel has slowly been rolling out marketing materials for the film, beginning late last year with the launch of the first trailer and the reveal of the title. The footage left fans speculating over what else the movie would hold, and the Super Bowl TV spot helped add a bit more clues to the larger narrative. However, there's been plenty of other questions that have been raised, such as what is Captain Marvel's role in the adventure as she's been hidden from the footage.
Now, Marvel is poised to answer some of these questions with the surprise release of another trailer. The footage is somewhat retrospective of past MCU events with footage from Iron Man and Captain America: The First Avenger, as well as some more new looks at Avengers: Endgame. Marvel also released a brand new poster. Check out the trailer and poster below:
The first half of the trailer is largely taking a look back at prior MCU films, but the meat of the footage comes over the final minute or so. We see Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) with his family at their country house where he's training his daughter how to shoot like him, which may very well be the final time they are all together before Thanos' snap. There's an additional piece of footage of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) recruiting him after he's become Ronin, and they're shown together a few other times throughout. We also get to see Rocket and War Machine teaming up and then a brief look at some of Endgame's action.
What may get fans buzzing the most is what the final few scenes include. There is finally confirmation that the Avengers will suit up in the white suits that have previously been featured in toy packaging. The exact use of them is still unconfirmed at this point, but we do see that even Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is back on Earth and part of this mission.
Then, the trailer ends with a snippet of the footage that was recently shown to Disney shareholders, with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) voicing his approval of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) . All in all, there's a lot to dig into, so stay tuned to Screen Rant for a full breakdown of the trailer.
