The moral of the “Frozen” movies has always been that sisters must stick together at all costs. In the new trailer for “Frozen II,” that bond is tested when Elsa has to use her powers to find a hidden, magical forest that threatens the safety of Arendelle. “I’m going with you,” Anna declares. “Excuse me, I climbed a cliff, survived a frozen heart and saved you from my ex-boyfriend, so … you know, I’m coming.”
It’s a big taste of an actual plot that we didn’t see the first time around in the trailer for “Frozen II.” And this one has scores of action in the form of a dangerous wind storm, Elsa bounding across ice spires and even riding a frozen horse to battle a giant rock titan.
The new trailer also revealed some new characters. There’s King Agnarr (Alfred Molina) as Anna and Elsa’s father and the husband to Queen Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood). There’s the members of the hidden Northulda tribe, including Yelana (Martha Plimpton), Honeymaren (Rachel Matthews), Lieutenant Matthias (Sterling K. Brown) and Ryder (Jason Ritter). And don’t forget Bruni, a curious and cute salamander that inhabits the Enchanted Forest.
Returning to the voice cast are Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Santino Fontana, Idina Menzel and Kirsten Bell. Disney’s “Frozen II” hits theaters Nov. 22.
