Ian Pirie

Ian Pirie - turned professional in 1996 appearing in the original London revival of Jesus Christ Superstar at the lyceum Theatre. He Played the Lead role of Quasimodo in Notre Dame De Paris at London's Dominion Theatre. He has worked for the RSC in productions of Canterbury Tales and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Appeared in two different versions of Macbeth, at The Globe and in Edward Hall's version with Sean Bean and Samantha Bond in West End. He played 'The Officer' in Gregory Burke's Multi-Award winning Black Watch, directed by John Tiffany. Ian has worked with esteemed movie directors such as Lee Tamahori, Martin Scorcesse, Michael Caton Jones, Christopher Nolan and the much loved British Independent film director Terrance Davies, who cast Ian in the role of Chae Strachan in the critically acclaimed Sunset Song. Ian was cast as Brian MClay in the New Indie move Calibre directed by first time writer director Matt Palmer. Other credits and releases for 2018 include The Terror, Winter Ridge, Endeavour, Calibre, Chernobyl. Ian is married to the actress Victoria Donovan and has two children.
