Elshan Mardan oglu Rustamov – is an Azerbaijani movie, stage and television actor, better known for “Seçilən” (The Selected One, 2008), “Hökmdarın Taleyi” (The Fate of Lord, 2008), “Istanbul reysi” (Istanbul Flight, 2010) and “Laləli Saray” (Poppy Castle, TV series 2017). He was born January 22, 1971 in the family of school teacher in Masalli region, Azerbaijan. Finished the secondary school of Babaser village (Massalli). In 1988 was admitted to Moscow Construction School. From 1990 till 1995 studied drama and movie acting in State Institute of Art. His mentors were famous artists such as, Rafiq Atakishiyev, Oktay Salamov, Rafig Azimov, Lutfi Mammadbayli and Bakhtiyar Khanizade. Since 1993 has been stage actor of Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators. He also collaborates with various studios as a voice and dubbing actor. He is married. Acquired title of Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan in 2012.
