Actor
Timothy Burd – is a Canadian actor. The fourth child of five. He attended classes on improvisation at the Firehall Second City in Toronto, the Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in Hollywood and at HB Studios in NYC. His first guest appearance in a television series was in, "Sidestreet", starring Donelly Rhodes. Perhaps best known for his role in "Saw 2" (with cameo appearances in both "Saw 3" and "Saw V") Timothy also appeared in "Deacons For Defense" starring Forest Whitaker and Sandra Oh's first film "The Diary Of Evelyn Lau". With 55 cents, Tim left home and hitch-hiked to LA at the fresh age of fifteen. He served eight months in the Canadian Armed Forces as a military policeman, was stationed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and received an honorable discharge. In the summer of 2004, Tim worked on creating a live-in film school where he resided on Manitoulin Island. The school was to cater to the underprivileged. Resides in Richmond, British Columbia. Honora Bay, Manitoulin IslandTasha Simms, wrote a radio play for Chum FM in Toronto and later developed it into a screen play with Bill Corcoran called, "The Edge Of Rock'. Timothy was the casting director for the pilot. Eli Wallach offered a weekend class in the basement of a church. His wife often replaced him when he wasn't available. If you couldn't make a donation, Mr. Wallach never asked for payment. Tim played the student in the production of, "Miss Margarita", starring Marilyn Lightstone, at the Toronto Truck Theatre, directed by Roberto Athayde. During rehearsals his brother was visiting and took a shower in his dressing room. Unbeknownst to them, there was no drain and the water poured straight down on Marilyn Lightstone who was applying her makeup directly below. An embarrassing situation. Tim arrived for the audition to a room full of actors and told the director and Miss Lightstone to send everyone home, save their time and that he would play the student. That got him the part.
