Kate Barker was born in 1982. Father - President of Sony Pictures Classics, mother - sculptor-ceramist. She graduated from the University of Chicago, in 2011 received an MFA (directing) degree from Columbia University. She took short films and music videos, was an assistant director David Frankel on the film "The Devil Wears Prada." The film "Once Upon a Time in New York" (2014) is a directorial debut in a big movie.
