Roar Uthaug was born in August 25, 1973 Lørenskog, Norway. In 2002 he graduated from the Norwegian Film School. Roar Uthaug is a Norwegian film director. He is best known for Fritt Vilt (2006), Flukt (2012), and The Wave (2015). His director debut was Fritt Vilt in 2006. In 2018 he directed the Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander.
