Elkhan Mammad oglu Gasimov was born on April 24, 1945 in Nakhchivan. He is graduate of acting department of Azerbaijan State Institue of Arts (1962-1966) and directing faculty of State Institute of Cinematography (1973-1978). He is better known for playing driver named Ahmad in “Where is Ahmad?” (1969). He acquired the title of Honoured artist of Azerbaijan Republic in 2000 for his contributions to development of Azerbaijani cinema.
