Ben Richardson was born September 21, 1983 year. He is a British cinematographer. He is best known for the feature films Beasts of the Southern Wild and The Fault in Our Stars. Richardson was born in England and attended Royal Holloway, University of London's media arts degree program. Since February 2014, Richardson has been dating actress Anna Kendrick, whom he met while filming Drinking Buddies.

Richardson is a director of photography. Two of his films, Beasts of the Southern Wild and Happy Christmas, have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Beasts of the Southern Wild was also nominated for four Academy Awards at the 85th Academy Awards, including a nomination for Best Picture. His short film Seed won Best Animated Short at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival.
