At the suggestion of a friend, Maggie began modeling in Tokyo, Japan at the age of 17, then Taiwan, and finally Hong Kong. While working in Hong Kong, she was noticed by Jackie Chan, in his words: “He saw great star potential in her.” Jackie Chan takes her under his wing, teaches her martial arts and helps her enter the film industry.
