Nathalie's father Emmanuel is half Saint Lucian, half English, and her mother is half English, half Dominican. Natalie has a half-sister, Louise. She attended St Hilda's School in Westcliff-on-Sea from the age of three to eleven, and attended Westcliff High School for Girls from the age of twelve.
