Matthias Koenigsweiser studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in San Francisco from 2001 to 2005. After several camera assistants and short films, he made his debut in the 2010 TV movie Santa Cruz, as chief cinematographer on a feature film. Since then, he has worked on other feature films along with commercials and music videos. In particular, he worked with German director Mark Forster for many years, including on feature films such as All I See Is You, Christopher Robin and A Man Called Otto.
