Biography
Jay Wadley - was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, Jay Wadley is a multi-instrumentalist and NY & LA based composer. A graduate of the Yale School of Music, Wadley won two Charles Ives awards from the Academy of Arts and Letters and an ASCAP/SCI Student composer Award. His concert work has been commissioned by Carnegie Hall's Ensemble ACJW, The Nouveau Classical Project and the Yale and Williams College bands. His orchestrations from Rufus Wainwirght's Opera and Song Cycle, Mark Ronson's Ballet, and Calexico's album Spiritoso have been performed by The San Francisco Symphony, New York City Opera, and the Louisville Symphony Orchestra, among others. His TV credits include Lie to Me, Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story, The Nine Lives of Chloe King and orchestrations for Doctor Who. Wadley recently scored James Schamus' adaptation of Philip Roth's Indignation, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released in 2016 by Roadside Attractions.
