Khalida Guliyeva was born on September 24, 1952. His father was an oilman, and his mother was a housewife.  In 1974 she graduated from the Theater and Acting Department of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts. In 1973-1976 she worked in the pedagogical theater "Sada" at the institute. Since 1972, she has been working as an actress at the Azerbaijanfilm film studio. She is a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. She is the wife of screenwriter Eldaniz Guliyev.
