Anees Bazmee (born November 1, 1962) is an Indian film director, writer and producer who is known for his works in Hindi cinema. In a career spanning over three and a half decades, he has written and directed more than 60 films in Hindi, Tamil and Marathi across varied genres. Anees Bazmee was born in a remote town of Modasa in Gujarat  India to an Urdu poet Abdul Hameed 'Nerang' Bazmee and housewife Khatoon Begum. He came to Mumbai in 1976 and worked as a child artist. He later also dabbled in a number of jobs like art direction, editing and sound recording.
