Vince Emmett is an American Composer, Executive Music Producer and Artist. As Composer Vince became the first person in history to apply a musical score to a John Steinbeck work for stage, scoring John Steinbeck's East of Eden. As Executive Music Producer his work can be heard on the Emmy nominated SOS and the Grammy Award winning Pray. Vince was awarded a RIAA Gold Record for his work on the 1996 Rebecca St. James album. Vince has composed and produced works for TV and Film with the great Orchestras and Grammy award winning artist Emmylou Harris, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi, Ricky Skaggs, Kris Kristofferson, The Dixie Chicks, Béla Fleck, Jerry Douglas and Phil Keaggy. As an artist Vince has recorded for Elektra/Asylum Records, LA and also signed as a writer with EMI Music Publishing, NY. Vince's latest composition and studio production is with Will Oldham, aka' Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. His current soundtrack release can be heard on Capitol & EMI Records, Nashville and the Soundtrack release on Lakeshore Records, Beverly Hills, CA for the Samuel Goldwyn films release, The Song.
