Charles Papert is a cinematographer. Born February 16, 1966 in London, England, UK. Charles Papert's film career spans a wide range of eclectic credits. Of English descent, his family moved to the US (Brookline, Massachusetts) in the 70s. Papert briefly attended NYU film school. He is currently working as a Director of Photography after a notable career as a Steadicam and camera operator with credits including the cult favorite Office Space (1999) and the powerful American History X (1998), and television series such as Scrubs (2001) and ЗThe West Wing (1999). In addition to his traditional industry credits, Papert is one of the co-founders of Instant Films, a 48-hour filmmaking festival based in Los Angeles. As such he executive produced over 125 short films, 11 of which he directed.
